(i) Taught pupils how to read and understand a sentence question. Using sample items, pupils solved addition questions on board.

(i) Taught pupils to convert the subtraction numbers from sentences method to 'vertical form'.
(ii) Using flashcards, pupils learnt how to subtract 2 numbers with regrouping (total sums of ones is more than 10). Pupils came forward to write the answers.
(iii) Class work : Textbook page 14 (Subtract the numbers)
(iv) Homework : Textbook page 15 (minus the numbers). Maths (K2) page 17 (subtract and write the correct answer)
