Family Eye Health & Safety Program

In conjunction of Family Eye Health & Safety Program, Optimax Seremban on 24 Oct 2011 (Monday) to conduct the Pre-School Free Eye Screening. 
The aims of the programme for the preschoolers are to:
• highlight the importance of eye care & eye exam in young age
• enhance their understanding of eye care and its prevention
• educate them about good eye care habits

Gotong-royong
27th May 2011

Working together in the spirit of gotong-royong among students of K1 & K2 to inculcate a sense of belonging.
Children armed with brooms, dustpans and small towel, went all over the corner in their classroom.  
This activity helped to strengthen the spirit of camaraderie among the students and their sense of belonging to the school. Children will also automatically take the initiative to clean up their surroundings if they participate in such activities often.

Yakult Health Talks
12th May 2011

    We were pleased to have Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd nutritionist to give health talks about good bacteria at our kindergarten on 12th May 2011.  The children had a delightful time enjoying the talk with attractive slide presentation, the “cartoon time” and they responded aggressively in the Q & A session in order to win the sticker. All the children were so happy to be able to bring home their favourite “Yakult” and a bookmark!
    A BIG THANK YOU to the nutritionist Mr. Ng for spending the morning with us.

Yakult in Kindergarten

Yakult is a world pioneer in the field of probiotics. The company will be giving a health awareness seminar to our kindergarten children on
12th May 2011.

                               主题教学：制作古拉姆（kolam）                   2011年4月20日

Kolam是印度传统腾图，是屠妖节时，兴都教徒必行的风俗之一。 Kolam是用染成各种不同颜色的米粒所铺成的。白米染色后须晒至干透，然后依照已设计好的图案，把彩色米粒铺上去，构成一幅犹如美丽地毯的Kolam。
兴都教徒在屠妖节时把kolam铺在大门前，是欢迎客人到来的意思。另一个用意是避免让邪恶进入家里，为家庭纳福祛灾。

本园大班老师为了配合节日的主题，准备了一些染了色的西米粒，浆糊和图案，和小朋友一起在课室里制作了简单的古拉姆（kolam) 。
