Explain to the children the uses of 'an' and 'a'.
'A' used before words that begin with the consonant sounds. ( b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z ).
'An' used before words that begin with the vowel sounds. ( a, e, i, o, u ).
Give examples and discuss with children.
Question and answer with children.
( Lesson using multimedia ).

Unit 5 - Halves
(i) Using flashcards diagrams, teacher to explained what is half.(ii) Half - 1/2 meaning 2 equal parts of an item.
(iii) Using shapes flashcards (shapes that have equally cut into two), pupils played a game of finding it's partner & match the other half.
(iv) Homework : Textbook page 21 (Read & understand the diagram) & page 22 (Match & circle the correct halves).
(vi) Homework : Maths (K2) page 26 (Colour half of the shape) & page 27 (Match the item to it's fraction).
Unit 6 - Time (Faces of a clock)
(i) Showed pupils an analogue clock which shows the numerals of 1-12 with minute intervals.
(ii) Emphasized on the long minute hand & the short hour hand.
(iv) Pupils read the numbers on the face of an analogue clock. Teacher showed various times & pupils to tell the time.
(v) Showed pupils a digital clock. Emphasized to pupils :- A.M - Morning & P.M.-Afternoon.
(vi) Using flashcards, showed various different time as on digital clock & pupils to tell the time.
(vii) Class work : Textbook page 23 (Understand the clock).
(viii) Homework : Textbook page 24 (Fill in the time of an analogue clock) & page 25 (Match the digital clock's time)
